In the
Name of Allah, Most
Gracious, Most Merciful
A brief on
the word 'Islam'
The word `shalom' and the
Syriac `shlama', as well as
the Arabic `salaam' and
`Islam', are of one and the
same Semitic root, `shalam',
and mean the same thing – a
matter admitted by all the
scholars of the Semitic
languages.
The verb `shalam' signifies
`to submit, resign oneself
to' and then `to make peace'
and consequently `to be
safe, sound, and tranquil'.
No religious system in the
world has ever been
qualified with a better and
more comprehensible,
dignified, and sublime name
than that of Islam.
The true religion of the
True God cannot be named
after the name of any of His
servants, and much less
after the name of a people
or a country. It is indeed
this sanctity and the
inviolability of the word
`Islam' that strikes its
enemies with awe, fear and
reverence even when the
Muslims are weak and
unhappy.
It is the name and title of
a religion that teaches and
commands absolute submission
and resignation of will and
self to the Supreme Being,
and then to obtain peace and
tranquility in mind and at
home, no matter what
tribulations or passing
misfortunes may threaten us
that fills its opponents
with awe.
It is interesting and
significant to note how the
observations of the
ex-Kaiser of Germany, who,
on the occasion of his 70th
birthday celebrations at
Doorn, Holland, said in his
speech:
"And understand this – if
ever the Muslims should
conceive the idea that it is
Allah's command to bring
order into a declining West
and subjugate to His will,
then – with a faith in God –
they will come upon the
godless Europeans like a
tidal wave, against which
even the reddest Bolshevist,
full of eagerness for
combat, will be helpless"

The
Unexpected Visitor
There will
come a time when each and
everyone of us, shall be
payed a visit, by an
unexpected visitor.. This
visitor is appointed to
every single one of us,
whether rich or poor, old
our young, single or
married, black or white...we
will all be lucky enough to
have this visitor come for
us.. Where is this visitor
coming from? He is coming
from over sea's especially
for you.. Don't worry
though, u dont need to
prepare anything, or clean
up ur homes..Because this
visitor won't be staying for
long, but he is taking u
back with him.. He is paying
for your one way ticket back
with him..You don't need to
pack any clothes, but all u
need to walk with is ur
passport..not this dunya
passport, but u need to
update it, to an akhira
passport.. You have to keep
updating it, because when it
comes time to be used, you
don't want it to be
expired..This passport
should say Allah wa Muhammed
wa Islam.. Oh, but don't be
expecting any luxurious home
when you get there, or any
nice and expensive
clothes... for your stay
will be 7 feet under the
earth, and ur clothes will
be a white cloth.. Is this
good enough for you? Or have
we all forgotten that we
have an appointment already
scheduled for us? That has
been there the day we were
born.. But know, this
appointment can't be
rescheduled, for it has been
confirmed by the One who
created you and I.. Who is
this visitor, and why is it
coming for us? This visitor
oh believers, is malikul
mout, the angel of
death..and it is coming for
us, because Kullu nafsin
dhaa iqatul mout, every soul
shall taste death... Let us
be in constant preparation
for this visitor, for he can
drop in at any time..and
know that the angels hasten
to the commandments of their
Lord.. Prepare for this
visit yaa ibad'allah.. and
start packing away your
deeds now..so when u get
there, u will atleast have
something to unpack! And u
will not go empty handed
like some of the souls on
this earth have already
done.. Fear the day when
every single thing u've
done, openly and hidden,
will be unveiled, but most
of all fear ur Lord, the One
who created you out of
nothing, and molded you with
the best of figures.. and
remember yaa ibda'Allah...
*Kullu naafsin dhaa iqatul
mout!!*
